I'm a lucky husband! You know why? Besides being loved by a wonderful woman, she does such a wonderful job cooking, I thought I'd share a little about her good work with the world. I also love to collect her food. It provides me a history of all the sweet and memorable dishes she has put her heart into for the family. I also like to put places that interest me, mostly places in Virginia right now. There are also pictures of food, from other sources. I've been adding different items.

Illy Coffee
My favorite espresso is Illy. You can find it almost any major grocery store. I first tried it in Great Lakes, Illinois. I know that doesn't sound exotic, but the international store they had up there was the spot it was found. That's another story. The store's name was Valli. Many places did not have Valli in 2002. Valli started expanding well after that. Anyhow, give it a try.
Espresso Machine LOve
I miss my espresso machine. The ones from which you have to grind, then pack the espresso in the cup to lock in and brew are hard to find. Everything is automatic. Well, the Bialetti espresso makers are nice. The first one I bought was in Sicily. I carried it around with me until I finally got back home. I kept it pretty much as a collectible.
Now, when I go through stores, I don't see to many older espresso machines. The Capresso EC100 Pump isn't too bad. It's a domesticated machine, rated at 15 bar. I do believe that 19 Bar is the target rating.

Chinese (Americanized) Iceberg Lettuce, Chicken, Watercrests and Almonds
This is light and tasty. The green beans were lightly flavored, the lettuce was washed and used as a "tortilla" type of wrap. The sauce... hmmmm, I'm not sure exactly how she made that, but it all went really well together. This is light, healthy and offers plenty of vegetables. I thought the vegetables were actually more enjoyable to eat this way, than in salad. Thanks honey.

Daikon, Radish
Here is what we do often. We'll set up the meal and enjoy it all together. This was when we were just married. I like the balance between fresh vegetables and white rice and soup, etc...
OH, the Daikon, is really good for you. That's the white stuff in the bowl. You have to grate that like cheese to get it that way. It's almost like apple sauce, but it's a grated radish.
The picture below is similar. We had Salmon sushi here. It's one of my favorites.
Ramen, Vegetables, Tofu, Vitamins - Stay Strong
Some sort of Ramen. I like it. The seaweed on top, gives you that extra healthiness...
Not sure what "healthiness" means though. :)
One of my favorite things she makes... is the soup below. I love hot vegetables and a slice of sausage. The salad was great as well!
Nothing like a hot stove with fresh, tasty tofu, and vegetables to keep you warm.
This looks like great fresh vegetables.
Hawaiian Bread Sub Rolls, Good!
Crepes... Good. Homemade too! She was awesome on that one. :)
Vitamins to keep you healthy this year.

Steak, Fries and grilled peppers
I got to enjoy some delicious red meat, one day last week or so. We usually don't dig in to a hunk of steak often, but today it was really desired and with a bit of a hunger for it, made it better. Thank you sweety, that hit the spot! :)
Oh, we had T-bone and Porterhouses, but I can't remember which one these were, but the price, I want to say, hmmmm approximately $6.00 at the commissary!
I thought Wow honey! Good job on that one. :)
