Breakfast

A fresh breakfast we got to enjoy the other day. :) The sandwich was from home made bread. I love spinach. The eggs was cooked nicely. The fresh berries, are always chopped up nicely. I think it's important for us that she chops them up. I don't ask to have them chopped up, she does it though. It really makes eating the strawberries a nice experience. Plus they just look nice to us.

Flip Flops

We went to Flip Flops of Virginia Beach. Not bad. The food wasn't too salty at all. It was pretty clean and the service seemed to be pretty good. The only thing that I would of liked to have seen was auto feeding paper towel machine in the bathroom. ;)
It was interesting. You can also eat outside. They have a small wood patio. It's located next to a shopping area.

Navy Meal

Here are some pictures of Navy shipboard food life. We have a decoration, picture, milk station, a picture of the food bar, and some plates of food. The waffles are served with hot syrup, and next to that is a vat of hot butter. You usually pour the butter on the waffles, then get a spoonful of syrup on that.

Overall, this is the fare you get on a daily basis. Enjoy the pictures.

This was a pepper on a carrot, stuck in an orange.

Amtrak

A service that really caught my eye lately was the Amtrak train services.
They pretty much run anywhere. In Virginia, they run out of Newport News. You can pretty much get anywhere fairly quickly.
For example, they have a vacation package for three days in Orlando, hotel included, and unlimited access to the parks and return for approximately $455.00 from D.C.

Nazar Mediterranean Restaurant

Nazar, of Williamsburg, VA. Interesting, home front type of place to eat. I can't say much about the taste of the food. It was good. :)

You want sushi on the beach?

Domo Sushi. Not really on the beach though. :)
Domo Sushi, was not too bad. I've had more "cost effective" sushi before though. :P
It was good. The green tea was nice as well. The building was ok, had wifi.
What you see in the pictures was about $75.00, that includes a tip. This is in Virginia Beach, VA.

You know something? The soup (to me) had a real nice flavor.
Shop around, try Yelp, or Urban Spoon before you eat out.

I do want to bring up an Italian flavor for a second.
Well, I just want to bring up a nice place I almost forgot all about... Manino's Italian restaurant. Take a look if your in the area. Wear a nice shirt too...

The shadows in the glass..... brrrrrr, scarry. :)

Lunch with......

I had the opportunity to enjoy time with my youngest son today. We didn't get that homemade flavor from home, but we did go to the beach and had Harpoon Larry's steamed crab and nachos. He loves that. It's nice to enjoy eating with people you love.

We actually earned that little outing. We fixed the lawnmower and cleaned the yard up. We were operating as a good team.

Harpoon Larry's Raw Oyster Bar is in Virginia Beach.

I've been there in the past and was not as happy with everything as much as today was. :)

Wraps, Souffle, Breakfast, Lunch, Ham, Lemon Meringue, Fresh Bread

Hear are some more pictures of another wrap that I had the privilege to enjoy! Fresh, all hand chopped (I enjoy watching her chop 'em too) and crispy.
This, after, eating, I feel much better than when I have something too greasy.

Wrap

The picture below shows something we had for breakfast lately. It really hit the spot. I chose not to use salad dressing though. I will sometimes do that based on how I feel. The bacon was thick cut and the potatoes O'Brien were something I picked up from the store. Sometimes I like those for breakfast.
The souffle was homemade and really delicious.
I'm not used to those, but I hear they can be approximately $5.00 for a piece half that size.

The slice in the picture below shows about how big of a piece you can get at breakfast shops, but are pretty expensive. You can also make these souffles in small round souffle "dish". She chose to use a large pan. It gave us plenty to go around. :)

The below picture is something we had on the weekend. I like to have specially cooked ham sometimes and this is something she came up with. It was glazed to a crisp and sweet with spices. The asparagus was grilled nicely and the best, were those homemade "Smashed" potatoes.

I used to talk about Lemon Meringue Pie, and now she made one. I think this was the first one she made, but it was delicious.

The fresh bread below offered me many sandwiches for my drives into work. :)
It was made from brown rice.
The bread was very slight sticky, but was still bread and made great sandwiches.

Here is a sandwich she packed me for the drive to work. I love grabbing something so good to enjoy while I drive. It's all homemade and delicious.

The bread was, as you can see, regular bread, but made with rice. It was amazing. The sandwich is from pork. I like to enjoy some fresh chocolate milk on the side.
